QSMI is an integration layer for Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) that provides a simple API interface, enabling various services to perform cryptographic operations. QSMI manages communication and interaction with HSM devices, making years of accumulated expertise and operational complexity accessible and easy to use for customer applications.

Examples of Supported Cryptographic Operations:

Message Signing
Digital signing (MAC) of messages, files, documents, and similar data using dedicated symmetric encryption keys.

Signature Verification
Verification of signatures on messages received from external entities to ensure that the message was signed by an authorized source and that its integrity has been preserved (hash verification).

Cryptographic Operations for Financial Transactions
– PIN encryption
– Full EMV validation, including ARQC and TC verification, and ARPC calculation
– PIN verification (Verify PIN / Verify PVV)
– Customer Selected PIN – PIN translation between encryption keys

Key Exchange
Automated key exchange processes with third parties to secure messages transmitted between systems.

Sensitive Data Encryption
